Trail's End Bike Hotel Accommodation

Trail’s End offers a selection of 16 rooms, all fully serviced and ready for your perfect stay. 

Our ground floor rooms (1 – 8) offer versatile layouts perfect for larger travel parties, offering shared facilities with separate men’s and ladies’ bathrooms, including a wheel-chair friendly unit. 

Our upstairs mezzanine level (rooms 9-16) offer more conventional layouts of double, family and team rooms – all of which have en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning.

Cot facilities are available on request for children under the age of 2, so we’re perfect for the whole family! We offer Wi-Fi, secure parking and safe, indoor bike storage.

Swimming Pool - Our 20 meter two-lane pool accommodates all serious (or not so serious) swimmers and professional swimmers. As an added bonus we have a resident swim coach to enhance training and practice.

Wellness Centre - Our Yoga and Pilates studio offers classes by professional instructors throughout the week and can be booked in advance. Our in-house chiropractor and sports physio are on hand to assist with any aches or pains you might have. 

Leisure facilities - We have a cosy book lounge stocked by local bookshop Liberty Books – perfect for snuggling up to the fireplace on those chilly winter days. We have a shady deck area and fire pit outside by the pool, the perfect place to relax and enjoy local wines or craft beer!

We provide great-tasting and wholesome meals for all guests staying at Trail’s End. Where possible, all of our ingredients are locally and sustainably sourced. Group and individual needs can be catered for. We offer breakfast and dinner by request only.

Conferencing and Weddings @ Trail's End Bike Hotel

Our conference / wedding venue can easily accommodate 60 - 80 guests. Hiring the venue means you (and 60 guests) get to make use of the entire hotel for an overnight stay. The reception areas are a blank canvas and can be tailored to suit your every requirement!

We can host talks, seminars, training clinics, corporate functions and team building events. With large sliding doors it is able to extend into the heart of the Trail’s End lounge area, allowing for bigger functions if need be.

Bike Training Area

Come try our Declan O’Malley Flow Trail! It includes drop offs, switchbacks and bridges for you to practice on. Or try out our professionally designed mini pump track. Not only is it fantastic fun but it’s also a wonderful, safe environment brush up on your skills before exploring the local trails.

Family Fun

The kiddies can make the most of our pool and mini pump track, as well as our fun climbing wall! We have small bikes with training wheels that can be used within our courtyard too. 

We have a slackline, table tennis and a fab kiddies’ corner with puzzles and games to keep them busy. If you chat with us beforehand we can also arrange special requests such as pony rides and child care.

Things to do nearby

Only 60km from Cape Town, Grabouw is the perfect escape from city life. The Elgin Valley is just a bike ride away with the whale watching mecca Hermanus, within 40 minutes’ drive. Grabouw is a popular spot to enjoy outdoor activities, top class wine farms, restaurants, popular farm stalls and coffee shops.
