This agricultural centre is home to apple and pear farmers and producers of some superb cold-region wines. Apart from indulging in fantastic wines, one can sample brandy at Oude Molen, freshly squeezed apple juice or cider from a farm stall. Add to this the creation of the world’s first biodiversity wine route - the Green Mountain Eco Route - which encompasses Grabouw, Bot River, Houw Hoek and Villiersdorp, is a must for any visitor to this region.
