Villiersdorp
Villiersdorp, also known as the “Pearl of the Overberg”, is a tranquil village graced by oak trees and surrounded by fruit and wine farms, situated in the Overberg region of the Western Cape, South Africa.
Geography and History
Villiersdorp is in a prosperous apple-growing area which also produces pears, apricots, peaches, grapes and onions. The Villiersdorp Co-Op is also the only place in South Africa that processes and dries persimmons.
It is the collection of old Victorian houses, cottages and small holdings, that give Villiersdorp its character.

Activities
There is a diverse range of activities on offer in this town including tractor tours and wine tasting. For the more adventurous, there are also exciting 4x4 routes, hiking trails and mountain bike trails in the surrounding Blokkop, Aasvoel and Sneeukop mountains.
A 9 hole Golf Course is situated next to the dam, where one can also enjoy pleasure cruises, fishing and most other water sports.
